Pengyun Chen

Pengyun is a PhD candidate in economics whose research applies econometric methods to questions in climate finance and macroeconomics. He examines how climate policy and climate related risks affect green financial markets, investor behaviour, and the broader green transition. He is particularly interested in time series modelling, causal inference, financial connectedness, and policy relevant empirical analysis within applied macroeconomics.

Xinran Hu
Xinran Hu

Xinran is a PhD candidate of the Melbourne Institute. Her research features a combination of development and gender economics, focusing on how different social and cultural factors shape the dynamics between married couples. She has experience working with data from several developing countries, in particular with fieldwork experience in Timor-Leste.

Daniel Tiong

Daniel is a PhD candidate with the Melbourne Institute, specialising in applied time series and financial econometrics with applications to quantile regression. His research examines the risks posed by extreme events and their corresponding policy implications for financial networks in general.
