Professor Gary P Sampson from Melbourne Business School at the University of Melbourne, and a former Director of General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) and the World Trade Organization (WTO), outlines the challenges facing the WTO and the reforms needed to address them. The article provides insights into the current international trade negotiations.

Policy Forum: Cryptocurrencies

In this issue the policy forum focuses on cryptocurrencies – providing a crash course in digital monetary economics, as well as exploring the volatility and demand for cryptocurrencies. This policy forum features contributions from Professor Jesús Fernández‐Villaverde from University of Pennsylvania, USA, Dr Robert Kirkby, Victoria University of Wellington, NZ, Professor Donato Masciandaro, Bocconi University, Italy and Associate Professor George Milunovich, Macquarie University, Australia.
