Title: Revisiting Household Inflation Expectations Surveys: The Case of Singapore

Abstract: The Sim Kee Boon Institute initiated Singapore's first household survey of inflation expectations in 2012 (well after that of the Melbourne Institute). Since then, more countries have launched or revamped their inflation expectations surveys and more academic work on the subjective inflation expectations of households has been published. This seminar will review the state of play and discuss early results of a pilot in Singapore that could be a way forward.

Presenter: Dave Fernandez, Sim Kee Boon Institute for Financial Economics, Singapore Management University
