Abstract
The latest Taking the Pulse of the Nation survey indicates that an unintended consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic has been a decrease in prosocial behaviour. This new Research Insight by Professor A. Abigail Payne examines what motivates prosocial behaviour and identifies ways in which governments, charities and individuals can support philanthropy during a global economic crisis.
