A one day, invitation-only workshop being co-hosted by the National Centre for Longitudinal Data (within the Australian Government Department of Social Services) and the Melbourne Institute of Applied Economic and Social Research on "The Future of the HILDA Survey: Opportunities and Challenges".

The aim of this invitation-only event is to bring together those involved in designing, managing and using the HILDA Survey to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the survey as it moves forward.

The day will focus four key themes:

  • Maintaining sample representativeness
  • Challenges and opportunities posed by new technology
  • Data linkage
  • Servicing the needs of policy.
